Home contents insurance - valuable collection

I am taking out some new home contents insurance. I have a collection of Swarovski crystals and am concerned about making sure they are properly covered. Their value is approx £12k and I've been told that they would be covered as part of the contents insurance, and that they don't need to be listed as a seperate item. The quote I've got is from Churchill (including accidental damage) I'm not sure about this - any advice would be great :-)

If you've got it in writing from Churchill that your collection is covered, then I'd say it's OK.
It's pretty unusual for a collection of that value to be covered under general household contents.

I was specifically asked if I had anything of value over and above the general household items and clothes that are insured.

There's no harm in giving them a quick phone call to mke sure, is there?

I haven't got anything in writing, just what I was told over the phone from Churchill. I'm currently with Zurich, and the crystal collection value was below £10000, so I had a 'valuables specification' sheet where they were mentioned . Now it's worth more than £10k Zurich aren't sure what to do !!
