Ive always got a little cash put to one side for a rainy day. But that really is a little. I once saw a pet insurance advertised on tv who pay the vet direct, so I havent got to pay and them then pay me. Does anyone know what pet insurers do this? As if my cat was ever to get injured I dont want him to have to suffer longer because I havent got spare funds to pay up front. Thanks.

The fact that the insurer will settle directly doesn't mean that your vet will accept this. Its worth asking your vet which (if any) insurers the vet will accept direct payment from. The reason for this is that direct payment doesn't mean instant payment or guaranteed payment.
