Travel Insurance for Laptops

Posted this in travel with no luck so far, does anyone know?
A friend has asked me to ask - he cannot get travel insurance that covers a laptop to take to Thailand for a few weeks. Standard TI only seems to cover specified individual items under £100 and a specialist insurer wouldn't cover a laptop less than 6 months old. Can anyone help please?

Speak to a local Insurance Broker, who should be able to market the risk with various insurers and direct with the Lloyds market.
