Check all the usual comparison sites and then when you have made your choice, don't buy from the comparison site. Go to your chosen insurers web site and the insurance will be cheaper still. (I saved a further £30 doing this)
Apologies if every one already know this - I have only just made this discovery

I'm not sure if it is applicable to every single insurance company but I checked 3 of them out and they were all cheaper than the comparisons sites.
I guess it makes sense, as you are cutting out the middleman i.e. the comparison site
i have noticed that myself
then when you have evidence of that price go to the next cheapest one and ask if they can beat it... sometimes they will...

Dammit rowan, I never thought of that one
batted quotes between two a couple of years back and got another£15 off
I have been with my insurance for car locally for 9 years and every year they quote well over last years price . I go up with all the quotes I get off internet and come out of the office very happy again. Why don't they just give me a decent quote to begin with. If you are stupid enough to pay it they are quids in.
