Hi everybody!  I woke up this morning with 5 bites or 5 something!!  3 on my belly and 2 on my leg.  Now my house is very very clean (cleaning freak!) and I change my duvet cover regularly.  I do have a cat who sleeps on the bed but she doesn't appear to have fleas?!  What could they be - they itch like mad!

It could just be another little bug that your cat has brought in. Ive got two cats and find that it happens from time to time. Changing the sheets on the bed and having a good cleaning workout in the bedroom always does the trick for me!

The same thing has happened to me and I don't have pets. Except they are all on my right leg. I had one bite yesterday, woke up with 4 more today and 2 more since then! I can't see what is biting me, it's driving me nuts. Sounds like what you have though? I've been hoovering like mad and washing my clothes and bed sheets today.

this is an allergic reaction of some kind, could be an insect bite. u can usually tell if there is a tiny hole in the middle of each mark, where the venom or other substance is. it might not necessarily to do with your cat, something else could have creeped in. An over the counter antihistamine will clear it up or rub some calamine lotion on the affected area.

Well I kinda think it's a bite or allergy or something, but was worried it was shingles or something awful!  Although I'm sure I'd know if it were shingles...

Shingles is always on the trunk - and follows the nerve round and up - so def not shingles - ems advice is v good
It could easily be a mosquito- there are tons of them around at the mo, at dusk, all trying to get in the house! They will bite you in the night!

hi - it could simple be bed bugs -'Cimex lectularius Linnaeus'

they hide in the seams of the matress so change duvet won;t help

but wearing pj;s as they cover all your body does - or steam clean the matress or use calamine lotion before going to bed

the allergic reaction is due to the anticoagulant the bed bugs secreet - stops blood from clotting - just like bats - same reason for the itching

or it could just be you

hiya

yeh it could just be a mosquito bite..i get lots of them at the moment too mostly on my legs, they're soo annoying and itchy!!

same as evrybody else is sayin..try calamine lotion lol :) hope it gets betaxxx

My maate had this... went to the doc who gave her strong antihistamins & stuff, but nothing worked... months later she woke up in the night to see little creatures on her pillow... bed bugs :-(  She got the exterminators in (via the local council) & for about 20 they blitzd the house & got rid of em :-)
