Most reasonably-sized markets will have a watch stall, where they'll fit a battery for you at a reasonable cost. (Most of them are just under £3, including fitting, on Stowmarket market).
Alternatively, many 'cheapo' discount shops sell watch batteries. (They're often on cards, with lots of different batteries, for around two quid). To fit them, use one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk...0a0aad34686d6ff301d6f Chris |

Thank you, alavahalf! Don't use Ebay but I'll have a look for similar in shops, better than using a penknife on them! I owe you a half!

You can buy these removal tools from Maplins, of all places.

As well as Maplin you can get watch repair stuff from Squires.

Note that the case opener linked to will only work for screw in backs that have the notches that the three pins on the opener can fit into. A more general screw back opener would be http://cgi.ebay.co.uk...s&hash=item2c5b3f216f it says for Oris but will do any screw on back (as long as it wasn't tightened by a gorilla!), for pop off backs all you need is a blunt penknife. As per the others batteries can be picked up from many places, I like 7dayshop but that's just a personal choice

I just use a small screwdriver to lift the back up

Go to www.straps4watches.co.uk you will find a back opener and all other accessories on here.
