When I download and use my Iphone apps do they use up my data allowance? Also do they use wi-fi? I have 1GB to use a month so can anybody give me an indication of how big 1GB is. Roughly how many basic apps. (i.e facebook.)
Thank You.

if you are using your home wi-fi it doesnt use your allowance because its not accessing your contracts internet access. the allowance is based on your internet access outside of your wi-fi
Downloading apps and using apps over 3G will use your data allowance. If you are connected to a WiFi source then it will use that over 3G as it is faster and it will not use your data allowance.

Downloading apps over 3G if the app is over 10mb then it will not let you download it anyway.

Also if you are on O2 you can download the O2 app which shows your bill details along with the data you have used so far in that month.

To be honest 1GB is quite a lot of data allowance for normal everyday 3G use.

if u use the internal web access then yes it comes off the monthly allowance.
if you connect the net through youre using wi fi so doesnt come off your minutes, just activate your wireless and when you have wifi coverage itll auto connect.
