We have just moved house and want to change our car. The car is still registered at the old address so do we need to update the details to reflect our new address before we can part company with it?

Thanks.

I asked in 'motoring' but received no replies so hopefully more succes in here!

Yes you need to update the details with the DVLA. if you go to a post office they will give you the appropriate form, or you may be able to download it here

Surely you just fill in a section on the Registration Certificate and post it off.

Thanks guys.

Ideally we will part-ex so can I not just sign the old car over to the buyer and then register the new car at my new address?
