I have my granddaughter staying with me for a year as her home is in Rome and she has just got a place in a Cambridge university which is just down the road from us, she keeps in touch with her mum & sisters by Skype on her netbook, I was going to get a flat-screen
TV for her room but she said to buy one that she can connect to her netbook so what sort of connection do I need to ask for on the TV so she can do this? (then it's orft to jolly ole Comet)

Question Author
Sorry Vagrant, It's an Asus but dont know the model No. all I know is it cost her about
350 Euros.
Check that she has a VGA outlet on her netbook & buy a TV with similar connection & then get this cable from Amazon UK.

Thanks everybody, a TV with a VGA connection it is then...
Some Asus netbooks have HDMI out as well as VGA - this might be more convenient.
VGA only carries the picture - if you want sound to come out on the telly you need a separate cable.
HDMI carries both video and sound.
