Old £20 notes run out?

Hi does anyone know when these will no longer be excepted I took a few into my bank the other month but I have found some more? Also is it only banks, building societies etc that will except them?

I put a simlilar question on here a few months ago but it was relating to notes that were older.
We managed to get them changed by sending them to the Bank of England, got the form off their website and then they sent us a cheque!
They ceased to be legal tender after 30th June. As yelenots said the Bank of England will honour them, though bank branches don't have to accept them.

machines that take notes, ie parking & self-service supermarkets tills take them. Launder fast :)

Most bank branches will still accept them for deposit into an account.

Some might change them - but they don't have to.
Your local Post Office will exchange them for you, and any other old notes.

thanks people for all these option very useful to know, at the moment the post office looks appealing its the closest to me
