Is there a metal casting method (and info on) where the metal is poured into a mould containing a wax preform. NOTE: not the wax loss method where the wax has already been removed.

There are two lost wax methods...
(first covering clay with wax, putting on more clay and melting out)
The second one uses a wax preform, but this is melted out via vents in a kiln just before putting in the metal. Close enough?

Thanks. I was sure there was one where the wax was melted out as the molten metal is added.
