if you mean the power supply just put it in the normal bin, it's not recyclable (not through normal home collections anyhow)

Sorry chuck yes, I meant the power supply wire with the plug. I'll just dump it in the bin then. Thanks.

put it on freecycle. You'd be amazed at what people will take and can use. I have repaired several broken laptop power supplies for people, which otherwise would have ended up in landfill. there are still someo of us out ther wilth a soldering iron and components!
