Just thought that this website which I came across a couple of days ago may be useful for anybody looking for somebody buried in Manchester.

I got the following Information from my search -
The Cemetery which the deceased is in
Grave Position/ Plot number
The name's of any other family member's sharing the plot

would this cover people buried in the l850's or is it for the later dates?
I had a quick peep as I know that my fathers family came from the Manchester area. I think that my grandfathers name was George Henry (Harry) Carr and possibly g/mothers maiden name was Matley but our family history is VERY vague to say the least. I couldn't believe how many Carrs there are there. My g/father & g/mother divorced so I don't even know when he died. My own father is dead too and what I know about him is rather sketchy. His name was James Frank Carr. I may have a look at this Ancestry website one day but I'd get far too engrossed and frustrated! One day perhaps.....
