I noticed that a reply from lilsecret said it costs him £25 broadband, £11 landline, and £7-50 talk anytime.
I am with Tiscali and my normal bill is £32-50 which is for my broadband, and landline, with my landline I get ALL my telephone calls free inclusive of calls to a lot of countries, I ring my family in Australia on a regular basis and it doesn't cost me anything, the problem is that any 08 number is expensive, and this includes 0800 numbers and mobiles. Do you consider this is a good deal or not? I also note that it was stated that all I.S.P.'s are reliant on BT apart from Virgin, is this also the case with Tiscali (now Talk Talk)? Thanks for your help.

I think, but may be wrong, that Virgin are BT reliant as well, except for those areas that are cabled......Virgin took over NTL cable.
Virgin took over Telewest Cable, too. Using BT lines is a relatively new venture for Virgin.
Unless you have mobile broadband through a dongle then your only options are Virgin cable or an ISP that uses BT line.
The exception is if you live in Hull where your only option is Kingston Communications.
I have been with TalkTalk since it started and have had hardly any trouble with them, different to many who contribute to this website. I can't avoid the £11 BT landline but Broadband, free telephone calls UK and overseas and 845 and 870 numbers, my monthly bill is around £21.
"it doesn't cost me anything" really?
of course it costs you what do you think the £32 is for?
