VODAFONE FREEDOM PACKS QUERY?

I have recently gone onto the Vodafone Freedom Pack, where you top up £10 and get 300 free texts and 100 free minutes. I already had about £4 credit left from a vodafone top up. I dont understand how the free 100 minutes calls work as sometimes it deducts it from the 100 free minutes, and sometimes it deducts from the £4 credit I stil have left?

I also use the same freedom pack. It has never deducted the minutes from any credit I have while the freedom pack is valid. Maybe you are calling a number that is not covered by the free minutes.
