Mobile Phone - Going From Contract To PAYG

Morning all, due to my lack of payment, my mobile has been cut off (I am on contract with Vodafone). Now when you call my number it just says it's not recognised. I put a Vodafone PAYG simcard in my phone but it wont work! Have Vodafone 'blocked' my phone aswell? TIA

Hi SazzyCo, I would say yes. My son lost his phone a while back and reported it to the company. A few days later a friend found it and gave it back to him but it wouldn't work. He contacted the company and it took them over a week to reconect him. So they must have blocked the phone after he reported it missing. He did get them to send him replacement simcard for him to use while he didn't have his phone ie, put it in another phone, but that wouldn't work in his until they had unblocked it.
if you were voda ... wouldn't you?

no pay no get ....
perhaps if you settle your debt .....
why don't you phone vodaphone on a landline with your contract details
ask them if its blocked
personally i would have done this before asking the question
As ac says. Why should they let you pay as you go?

IF YOU HAVENT PAID FOR WHERE YOU WENT ??
one thing you have got wrong, if you were still within your contract then vodafone have not blocked your phone, they have blocked their phone, you don't own it, they do until your contract is up.
