Hi There,
Ensure the Number Lock is set to 'on' then while holding down the 'alt' key, enter numbers on the number pad on the right of the keyboard eg. alt 131 equals , alt 140 equals etc. you'll have to try different numbers to get the precise letters you want. I'm sure there must be a key for them somewhere, If i find one online, I'll post again.
You'll find the codes at www.usefulshortcuts.com

You can use the 'insert symbols' facility on Word, and can copy and paste into emails
This only works if you have your keyboard set to united kingdom extended.

in word just hold done shift and then type ^ and O and you will get , it works for any vowel, for the Y and W you will have to use one of the methods above
