I was on the Miltary Road in Northumberland today and there were 2 very large wagons which had fallen off the road and were lying on their sides in the mud below the road.  Anyone know how they are righted?

They can be towed back into a standing position, depending on their size and laying position, or they can be crane lifted upright............ Also I think that some places use a jack system where they are jacked upright using hydrolic equipment............
That road is a great short cut. I might think twice about racing down it now though.
Low pressure airbags can be placed into small gaps between the ground and the chassis.  The airbags are then inflated slowly lifting the vehicles back onto their wheels.  They are also secured with lines to prevent them from tipping right over.

Thanks for your replies, I was just curious.  Tuesdays journey was a nightmare with 2 overturned wagons and a crash between a car, van and wagon.  I thought I was never going to get to work.  I would never use this road as a shortcut, too hairy!
Amazing to think you stopped to think about the victims of the crash during your delay in getting to work.
