My desk computer is giving the following when I try to start it: A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code 0x800 90006. Help - what can I do?

Have you got any Windows disks that came with the PC?

No, it was from brother in law but I have had it for about 2 years with no problem. Was using it last night ok. It just goes onto the screen saver when I click 'ok' on the message.
