yes..

if your staying with the same provider just remove your sim card and put it in the new phone and the number will stay the same (the number is on the sim card... not the phone)

if your changing providers then contact your current provider to get them to release your number so it can be ported to a new provider.

it's just a pay as you go jobbie - vodafone -many thanks for the advice
Remember to copy all your contacts over from your phone to your sim first though or you may lose them!
