anyone used a halogen oven

In the weekend newspapers there is usually a small suppliment selling gadgets that you dont usually see anywhere else. I keep noticing a Halogen Oven for about �50, has anyone got one and what do you think of it. It looks like a very large pyrex bowl on a stand with a lid that has a halogen element and fan. You just plug it in.
It claims to roast, bake, steam and grill, and cooks entire meals in one go. The food browns and crisps like it would in a conventional oven and all in the fraction of the normal time of the oven. I really fancy getting one, but would like to hear any comments from someone who has used one. Is it to good to be true.

Youve made up my mind and Im going to order one.
Can you cook fish and chips in them and they taste crispy like they have been cooked in the oven.
I wonder why they arent available in ordinary shops. Ive just been looking in the Argos catalogue, but they only seem to be sold through these suppliment.

Once again thanks for the answers. The websites were very helpful. Especially the detailed review.
Im definately going to get one.
The only downside for me is where Im going to store it. I only have a small kitchen and I struggle with worktop and cupboard space already, but it sounds ideal.
Im suprised they arent more widely available.

This is the new millenia version of the Suzie Homemaker Easy Bake Oven, a toy popular in the US in the 60's, that used a 100 watt bulb to cook food and brainwash young girls into thinking that cooking was part of their future maternal job description.
Be sure to never touch the halogen bulb when the unit is off, your fingerprint could cause the bulb to break.
If you are short on space, an over-the-range convection microwave is a bit pricer, but will do a better job cooking.
