ice hotels.

been curious for a while bout ice hotels. how do these work how can it be cold enough to have everything made out of ice but still be warm enough to be comfortable?and have glasses for drink made out of ice for instance-why does it not melt whilst your holding it? please explain someone-it makes my head hurt?

They are not warm enough to be comfortable - they are freezing.

Joanna Lumley stayed in one for a tv show recently. She went to bed in all her clothes, including hats and gloves and slept on fur in a sleeping bag, with lots of coverings.

Ice glasses are shot glasses - you pick it up, down the drink in one, and put the glass down. Your hand will get very cold and red if you hold on to it, and it will melt if you hold it too long

god it sounds awful.
more of an experience then a hotel stay then i guess.
my idea of hell tho i can't stand being cold esp n bed.

lol. i hadn't thought of that. god what a mess! think i would just be in the warm lodge type hotel and still able to feel my fingers and toes.

Wonder if global warming will have an effect on the Ice Hotel experience!
