I recently dropped my 2 button puma key fob in some water.........unfortunately.... ( before i dropped the stupid thing in water) when i locked the car i double clicked as to set the alarm......obviously the fob will not open the car beacuse it got wet....i have dried it out and put new batteries in it and it lights up, but i think the code has been wiped, the problem is everytime i open the door....or start the engine the alarm goes off because i cant turn it off!!! Ford have said they will sort it for 180.....which i do not have.....any ideas??

I saw this on a Puma website, don't know if this will help, this is to re-programme the fob ......"insert spare key with immobiliser tag on......turn ignition to 1 postition until red imobiliser light stays on ....turn off ignition.....hold top button on remote fob pointing towards the interior light.....keeping finger on this button also press bottom button 3 times...then release top....remote key light will flash....turn key in ignition to 2 position then off.......key should now be set".
