Have you got some special DVD labels? Are they Avery? If so there's a template you can download from their website.

There are several different ways to print DVD and CD labels.
One popular and easy way is where you purchase a package that contains a plastic 'stomper' to easily and accurately affix the label to the disk, an instruction and software CD, and some labels.
These labels can be temporarily stuck on a template printed with the software on an A4 sheet so the label is in the right position for printing when it goes through your printer. The software also contains a small program for typing in a circle on the label and most even allow you to place a photo with overwriting on it.
Hope this helps.

I think stick on labels are cr@p. I never managed to make on stay stuck to a disc for more than a few days so I invested in a 'Litescribe' disc writer. The discs are a bit harder to find (Amazon sell them) and more expensive but take it from me the results are well worth it.

I should add that this system works with most 'built in' label designers (Nero 5 in my case, and Roxio 7 before that). I have heard comments that Litescribe is unreliable and prone to frequent write failures but its always worked for me.

A company called BOMA provide a range of CD/DVD labels
and a software programme called 'ICD CoolBeLa'.
The pack I use is LD001 matt white (100 pieces) and they really do stick well, so you need to get it right first time using the 'stomper' mentioned by wildwood.
I also have an Epson Stylus PHOTO R800 printer that can print directly on to the special 'printable CDs' that have a plain white top surface.
