Septic Tank/soakaway and using bleach

Hi all - I've heard that using bleach interferes with the bacteria required for an efficient system in a soakaway/septic tank. Can anyone suggest a suitable alternative please? Cheers

what you heard is correct . my neighbours& i all use jeyes parozone it actually states on container "suitable for use with septic tanks"
