does anyone know if this could be connected up to laptop instead of tv.i dont have audio in or video in socket on laptop for the white audio and yellow video plugs.but i think there must be a way??? maybe from s-video plug.any helpers out there.i'm sure there must be.this is where all my technical queries are sorted.

You need a suitable signal conversion gizmo to get a laptop to recognise a composite video signal. Some TV tuner cards will accept composite video. Otherwise you need to use something like Hauppauge's USB-Live device, which allows you to input composite video via a USB socket:
