Hi, I am currently decorating my house and was wondering how to connect ceiling speakers to my Samsung flat screen? I know that I can run all the wires to the tv but how do I connect them to it? also if I run all the wires to the telly I might as well do the stereo as well, so basically, how do I connect them together? Thanks Jakesi.

Is your issue how to run concealed wiring between the TV and the ceiling speakers, or how to connect the output of the TV audio channels via a separate amplifier to enable independent speakers to be used with the TV? (or both)

I would be inclined to seek professional advice if i were you

hello jakesi
You simply need to connect the tv and stereo to an amplifier, say a surround sound amplifier, then connect it's outputs to your speakers.
Best of luck

I thought my answer was quite relevant really, if you need to connect speakers to a tv/video/dvd player it tells you in the INSTRUCTIONS how to do it, so up yours jakesi...

Me too!
Not to be outdone, I also thought my answer was relevant. Until we know what this chappy actually is trying to do, we are all just guessing. Taping leads up to the ceiling using Blu-Tak is all very well but the flies tend to get stuck up there.

arrrghhhhhh! should HAVE, never ever 'should OF' (Modal verb in perfect infinitive). Shows Disco fever doesn't have a good command of his native tongue, neither in grammar nor vocabulary!.
Now, back on topic. When you say ceiling speakers do you mean having them installed in the actual ceiling like in many shops and restaurants? if so, be advised that the sound quality and soundstage will suffer.
secondly, if your tv has no ext. speaker outputs, you would have to use a Hi fi amp (connected to the tv's SCART or headphone jack), the advantage is that you can then play music through it too.
