Hi,
I am doing my dissertation on Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, its only short, 5000 words. I just wondered do i need to do a literature review of all about SAH or do i need to be specific and write about nursing management of SAH?
And does anyone know a good plan to use?
Thanks

Sorry to state the obvious but wouldn't your tutor be the best person to ask???
Definatly talk to your supervisor. Is it a dissertation for a degree? 5000 words seems quite short
you need to do both and you need to talk to your supervisor. aren't you leaving it a little late in the day to finish? my dissertation was twice as long as yours - perhaps you've spent too much time in the pub?

Yes i have spoke to my tutor but she is now away for 3 weeks so wanted to get it started before she came back.
My dissertation is for a degree yes, and i thought i was quite well organised seeing as its not due in till end of july.
thanks anyway

Hi

I would include a lit review of all SAH literature that is relevant to your dissertation. I have just finished my law degree so have no idea what a SAH is, but you know which areas of this field you are discussing, therefore only review the relevant literature, otherwise you will be wasting valuable words reviewing material that has no baring whatsoever on you dissertation.

If you are doing a formal dissertation, then you have to follow all the requirements and hence you have to write the literature review. You can view this link to take help in writing your literature review.
