I'm hoping someone can help me here...excuse me for the description. My cottage windows are casement but don't lie flush. The window is shut by turning the latch down to a '6 o'clock position'! where it's then hooked over a little bar which is fixed on the frame.(At right angles to the latch)My question is what is this type of lock called.I need new ones and haven't got a clue. All the ones I've seen would only work if your windows lined up to each other.I'm sorry if this sounds like gobbledigook (sp?) Thanks in advance.

I realize this is a U.S. URL, but , often the makers of hardware are intenational in scope... I've replaced a few, here in the U.S., of the type seen in the first photo due to the locking bar breaking... Best of luck!

Just Googled Cockspur and that's exactly what I want but would like wrought iron or something similar...I'm in Cheshire so hopefully will find some...or online. Thanks
Ironmongery Direct does a pretty good range of these sorts of things. I picked out this one as being wrought iron and similar to what the others above are describing. Available via web ordering. HTH
