blomberg dishwasher, salt problem

the above dishwasher when cycle is over leaves the contents tasting of salt, all then need to be handwashed. would appreciate any advice as to the cause. if the lid to the salt reserve is undone water exits, should this happen?

The lid to the salt store should be quite tight - not letting any out as the reserve itself adds salt to the water before it enters the dishwasher. This is the problem - you'll find yourself using loads of salt and getting v.poor results if you leave it open
