Was just wondering what kind of thing you go to the docs for if you are well. Was sat in waiting room today and a nurse came out spotted someone she knew and said 'oh hello, its really nice to see you, you look well' so had me thinking how could she be well if she's sat waiting to see the doctor

Smear/healthcheck/IBS etc. Perhaps said person has been very unwell and has really taken a turn for the better?

I see your point though 4get: seems an odd thing to say in a doctor!

Or was it just the postman delivering the mail that the nurse was talking to?!
They might have been there for regular checks, like blood pressure or diabetes or something?

I only go if i'm in pain and what i can buy OTC doesn't help after a few days. I do have to go every 6 months for a routine check before i get repeat prescriptions again for stomach problems, and i suppose i look a picture of health then too.

I hate going to the surgery, all those germs in one little space! I do like trying to guess what people are there for though :o)
pregnancy!!! I was there yesterday just to get my blood taken :)

Someone whilst i was there was sat waiting for a signed note for GP so that he could renew his HGV licence so he was well too

but this was a nurse saying it to a woman sat waiting to see a doctor invisible course you dont shout it out. There was nothing to read in there either so I picked up nearest leaflet hope no-one saw as realised it said on front are you over 50 and have water work trouble :-)
pregnancy scans or tests... remission from some disease... repeat prescription pick ups... getting your passport photo signed by the doc...

Jacks Q...are you over 50 and do you have a water problem? Do keep up 4get!

;-)
Are you over 50, etc. It would have made more sense if I hadn't left 8 minutes between your post and mine.................:o)

And I AM aware that you aren't over 50 BTW..............
Perhaps the person was with a very sick relative, you know, maybe they drove their sick mum or dad to the Dr's surgery.
I like to think 'outside the box' every now and then lol.
What you at the Quacks for anyway?
