cleaning a sofa?!

Hi,has anyone got any tips on how to clean up a fabric sofa with stains etc,i can machine wash all the covers but not the actual sofa,any tips on how to scrub it up plz?!

You probably have to call in a team to do this. I use a company that's here in US call Stanley Steemer. They do carpets, furniture etc. Be carefull washing the covers and not the sofa itself. You will spot the difference making the sofa look dirtier than it is. (not that I think your stuff is dirty, you know what I mean) I'm sure you must have a similar service company there. They do a good job.

Ok thanx,bit late for that now,washed the covers and you can see the difference,doesnt help that its beige and we have children!!!!

I hired an upholstery cleaner from a dry cleaners and it worked really well , not expensive as only had it for a couple of hours.
