Does anyone else have the problem about this cleaner in that it keeps cutting out all he time after limited use? The bag isn't the problem. Obviously a thermostat! I assume Hoover haven't any sales in the Tropics. Any solution please.

You do have it plugged directly into a 13a socket ? eg. NOT an extension socket. And that the brush is not clogged or jammed ???
I had the same problem, after about 10minutes it would just cut out, still under guarantee, engineer called, fixed it, next time I vacuum it did it again, Hoover didn't want to know, sent engineer 3 times, then said it was something I was doing, well it was, I was using it silly me, instead of just keeping it as an ornament in the hall, Iam afraid my solution was to never by a vacuum from Hoover again, bought a cheap replacement, and had no more problems, guess if you cant afford to replace it you could write to them with your concerns, but it was never recalled as a fault, and my sister had the same model and same fault too, good luck

I have indeed had a phone call from Hoover.
I pass on their suggestions. Ensure suction pipe isn't blocked, the drive belt may have become slack, The two filters one at the base of the bag and the other behind a panel at the back of the M/C. Four ideas to check out . I have yet to test the Hoover out. Let me know your thoughts
