Desparately seeking table legs

In a recent house move the removals company managed to lose the legs to my dining table. I'm now left with a table top and six matching chairs. The retailer (MFI) are unable (unwilling) to help, saying the legs can't be sold separately. Nor will they allow me to contact the manufacturer direct. I don't want to buy a new table and chairs, just some replacement legs. Web searches for woodturners, etc have been unsuccessful so far. Any ideas? I surely can't be the only person this has ever happened to..........

Have you complained to the removal company? Surely they must compensate you or buy you a new dining table?
How embarrassing and how spiteful of MFI not to help but my own experience of that company has taught me that they have no concept of Customer support.
When we moved house some years ago our removal company lost all the wire support hoop frames into which my corrugated garden cloche sheets fitted. I wrote to the manufacturers explaining my problems, and although it was their policy not to supply the wire frames separately, they did make an exception for me and allowed me to buy replacement ones. Have you just dealt with the local MFI branch? Could you try tracking down the directors (or the National Sales Director ) of MFI via some kind of Internet search and writing to them explaining your dilemma. You might get a more helpful response. In the meantime, I would press your removals company for some kind of compensation. (I don't suppose it's possible they could have been accidentally left behind at your last house by any chance?).
We made our dining table and bought the legs at Ikea, they had a good selection to choose from.
Here in the USA we can buy those at Home Depot. They have a website - maybe they are available online.
Why dont you ask a local joiners to make you some and get removals company to pay.
