Ha ha ha.

No, really, where do you keep your bread? Kitchen refurb, threw out the metal bread bin, looking for alternatives.

When it's fresh half in the freezer (I live alone) other in the Cupboard in a resealable bag.

In the poly bag, on the kitchen worktop.  (I generally only buy 'toastie' loaves and typically only eat a few slices from each one before throwing the remainder out.  I'm not a big bread eater!)

seriously a huge terracotta bin with a thick wooden top.....

I only ever buy a small loaf now, and I put it in the fridge with one of those bag sealer clips. It lasts me a full week like that.

Might help give me a heart attack at the prices, Chris ๐Ÿ™„

In the fridge door.

I think fridge dries it out...freezer is better if you're  keeping it for toast.

Chris...give it to the birds!

Much the same as Buenchico, only with a peg round the top. Do try to eat all but sometimes can't. Have eaten it with bits of mould on just so it's not wasted and/or have nothing else available.

Sliced in the freezer.

I remember reading, many many years ago that bread shouldn't be kept in the fridge so I just kept picking off the greeny-blue bits before eating until one day I decided to rebel.

Now it comes from the bag, virginal white and delicious even days after 'best before' date.

My conclusion is that I'm right and the penicillin fans are wrong.

Nice white enamel bin with blue edging and writing. So easy to clean out :)

I keep mine in a metal bread bin on a work top.

in a Brabantia bin   fixed on the wall
