Just found this on a news channel. The person who reported her used the 999 system. not a good use of the system.

Made someone feel important for a moment I imagine.
Probably some spiteful so and so who has got done for not wearing theirs and trying to make a sanctimonious point.
^^^ Agree.
Actually I can't ever remember seeing the Queen wearing a seatbelt ....but then the speed at which the royal cavalcade travels and plus the fact there's rarely other traffic around at the time ....they really didn't think it thru, did they ?
if HM had got mangled in a pile-up, there'd be hell to pay if someone had reported the seat belt and the 999 people had told them to get lost.

I suppose she'll be tried in a totally impartial Crown Court and sentenced to a period behind bars at Her Majesty's pleasure?
Doubtful :-)

//Under UK law, civil and criminal proceedings cannot be taken against the Queen.//

I should imagine if she is being driven anywhere at reasonable speed she'd wear one for her own safety.
Perhaps its so she can be manhandled away from any threat by her bodyguards?
It might crease one's dress
As she doesn't wear a hat when riding her horses - does she still ride at 91, I'm not sure? - I can't imagine she'd be in a hurry to do up her seatbelt in a slow procession.
She's immune from prosecution as Mamy said and she doesn't need all sorts of other things like a passport, a driving licence, TV licence etc, so I think whoever it is is beating their head against a brick wall :)
Why should she be exempt from TV license? Surely can't be financial problems !!!!!
Well whether she has ever had one or not we may never know but at her age it's free anyway.

The main reason that her deceased daughter-in-law is no longer with us is because she wasn't wearing her seat belt when the Merc went through the Pont de l'Alma tunnel. The only to survive was her bodyguard, and he was the only one to wear his seat belt.

A sobering thought.
I've just checked, Mikey. Her Maj wasn't in a car being pursued at high speed and driven by a seriously impaired person, at night, in a tunnel.

And anyway, Diana still lives on in our hearts, etc.
That was no accident!
