Will you use Euros in the next year or so? You'd lose a small % when you convert them and then pay commission next time you need some- so I'd keep them uness you need the cash in the bank for something soon.
It's so hard to forecast currency movements I wouldn't take it into consideraton
Why change them, will you not be visiting any other part of Europe again?

I am not planning on going to (Euro) Europe for the next two years, at least. Holidays all booked for non Euro countries.

Thanks for the conversion link, Roger.
You're welcome, Tilly
got any friends who might be going to Euroland and need some cash?
I'd just pay them in before you forget about them and lose them then Tilly. Unless you hold on to them for a year or so I doubt their value would change by more than 10 Euro either way.

Good idea, Jno. Yes, I have. I didn't think of that.

My next holiday is Canada, maybe I can change them into Canadian Dollars.
Question Author
Thank you all. I have tucked them away inside my passport and will use them to buy Canadian Dollars, I think.
Question Author
Thanks, Yont. I'll go to the Post Office, I expect.
Don't blame ya.

I have never bought currency at an Airport. Why would you?
I'd hang on until parity between the pound and the euro
And then change them :-)
Airports are already offering just 1 Euro to £1. Keep the Euro's they will be worth over a £ each soon.
Yes indeed. Don't change them to Canadian dollars. They'll work better for you as pounds in this country ...
Below a pound here, EDDIE.
Consumer champion Martin Lewis, of MoneySavingExpert.com, launched a fierce attack on financial companies for taking advantage as one leading airport bought at 1.35 euros and sold at just 97 cents.
