I am near London and although a bit cold I really don't want to turn the heating on yet. I was just interested to see if anyone else has succumb yet!

Mine is on a thermostat so will kick in as and when the temperature drops. So far I haven't been aware of it coming on but today is definitely nippier, so I wouldn't be surprised if it came on tonight.
No but I didn't put the fire on this morning.
It's lovely in S. Wales today.
Had the patio doors open all morning.
mines been on most days since august
On for first time last night. Daytime is nice but mornings/evenings a bit cold.
Yes early evening for a couple of hours. And definitely the electric blanket. Bliss!
No. Maybe November /December but not yet. My 2 back doors and all windows are open . I live in Brighton-sur-merde so I suppose I'm that bit closer to the equator here !!
I put mine on this morning - to dry my undies - its going off now until 15 Nov though now
Why that particular date Ric??
No. I hate to put it in before November, especially since the ridiculous price hikes in the recent past: but yes it isn't that warm.
Funnily enough I found it warmer in my back garden when I was out there than I do in my living room !

I'm near Whitstable, on the Estuary, thermostat set at 16°, heating had clicked in when I got up this morning @ 05:20, so left it for an hour or so.
mine has been on all morning - just switched off there now - also put it on every single night. Sometimes even if it is a nice day - it can be colder in the house rather than outside. Ah go on treat yourself and give yourself a comfortable day.
quick quick Scarlett - get your oil stocked up - it never was cheaper -- here in NI it is in the £200 - never was it that price ever.
It's on low for some background warmth.
South coast sunny but not really warm.
Heating been on for about half an hour every morning.
In the evening I use my flowerpot tea-light 'heater', pretty effective and very cheap.
jennykenny - that flowerpot thing ma jig - is there fire connected to it. Very afraid of fire since I set my attic on fire some years ago so refuse to have fire in my home. Ta for the answer.
