Phone rang during the night, woke me up, but stopped ringing before I could answer it. The number was 0845 602 1111 and it was a weather warning and something about electricity supplies! The message said if you are concerned about anything to phone, 0800195 4141 24/7. I really want to phone this number to say I'm concerned they are phoning at such a ridiculous time, but I'm not sure if it's a legit number. Have googled both numbers and the first one seems to be all different things. Should I phone the number? x

If you are not affected by snow or electricity supply disrupted I would drop it.Not worth the risk just to vent your anger. You could be ringing Chilly!!

Is it the Environment Agency?
we used to get Flood warnings off them at silly o'clock before we moved, which was a bit pointless as we were on the top of a 200' + cliff!
No Barsel do not phone them back again it could cost you £1 a minute for phoning them back again. .It is probably a scam. Perhaps you could ask a neighbour if they have received the same call as well.

Lol retrocop. According to 'Who called me' the 0800 is a BT text messaging service but I'm not with BT. Would I get charged even though it's an 0800 number? I'll probably let it go this time but if it happens again.......Just wondered if anyone else on here has had a phone call. x

Thanks for that link Baldric. I will make a note of it in case it happens again.x
// BT's SMS Text Message retrieval service.

Someone you know (or who has your landline number) has sent a SMS text message to your landline (either intentionally or not).BT stores these text messages (even if you are not a BT customer). BT then phones you from 08456021111 until you answer the phone (or call that number back) and listen to the message. If you want to opt out of receiving text on your landline (and therefore opt out of calls frm 08456021111), then phone 0800 587 5252 from your landline, select option 1 then option 5. //
