When I got new kitchen wanted to get a nice set of saucepans but never got around to it. Am taking advantage of Debenhams sale to get a decent set. However, I like the bottoms of the pans to be stainless steel so that I can bring them up to a good shine. Any advice please. TIA JJCon

When I go into Debenhams I am a bit confused as when I look for Meyer - Maxim comes up. Eccles could you give me a link as I want to buy the right ones for me. Thanks
Given that you can't cook (re your previous threads) would you be better off with some ordinary non- stick ones?
Agree with Sher. If you can't cook don't waste your money.

I am not that bad as all my family are still living. I am cooking basic from I was 10. That is okay will suss the pans for myself.
very harsh! her toast is lovely
Toast makes the oven dirty though Bernie!
ohh nasty nasty lol
:-D
If a shiny base of your saucepan is your priority go an buy the prettiest ones you can find.

Meyer do good SS saucepans for cooking with as do Stellar. Go and look at what takes your fancy and suits your budget.
The bottom of my saucepans is the last thing that concerns me, we're more concerned about the cooking surface inside the pan. It wouldn't occur to me to worry what the bottom of the pan looked like after I'd used it.
I have copper based ones. They are brilliant but they don't stay nice and shiny for long.
