How To Thin Nail Varnish

I have a few old bottles of nail varnish that have dried. Instead of throwing them out is there something I could use to thin the varnish like a thinner for tip-ex?

A couple of drops of nail varnish remover should do the trick.

Try adding a similar volume of nail varnish remover to that of the remaining varnish, put the cap back ensuring that it seals properly and leave it for a few days.

I have found that by thinning the nail varnish it doesn't stay on the nails very long. My nail lady gave me a tip that you should never shake the bottle, just turn it by rubbing it between your hands. Shaking it, she said, makes it go thicker.
The best thing to do is to buy smaller bottles if you can find your colour in one.
