I remember my first, a Nokia
101 back in 1994. Supplied by my boss so I could be on call for emergencies.
This phone was the size of a house and ten miles from Manchester there would be no signal. Plugged it in to the lighter socket in my Vaiuxhall Viva to charge it up and all the lights dimmed.
