I Want To Raise The Gearing On My Motorcycle, I Have A 17T Sprocket Fitted And Want To Fit A 23T Sprocket. How Do I Calculate The Difference In %?

Try this:

If the sprocket on the other end of the chain has 100T, the current gear ratio is 5.88 (100/17). If you change the 17T to 23T, the new gear ratio is 4.35 (100/23). So the previous ratio of 5.88 has changed to 4.35, a change of 1.53 (5.88-4.35). The percentage change is (1.53/5.88)*100, or 26%.
Such a huge change will make your bike very sluggish to get moving.
