Word 2003 question.

In Word 2003 I can set up a page landscape and the make into two columns using Format and Columns. However, is there any way to create a horizontal column halfway down the page too? This would mean that halfway down the page it would then swap over to the other side of the page. Then I would be able to go to the bottom left column after.

I think your looking for the 'insert table' option from what you describe, however I hate MS Word with a vengance, never does what you want it to.......
Why not just put a table or tables on the page (you can hide all the borders etc )with the layout you need or use text boxes.

If you use columns and section breaks you will struggle to have the same control over your layout as easily.

Thanks, I'll try that now.
