in the bin - not all tissue dissolves in the loo and you could end up with a blockage.

Thank you mxyzptlk.....Will just bin 'em.
Compost is the best solution.
As mxyz says- nothing but human waste and toilet paper should be flushed. Anything else eg kitchen roll paper, all sorts of "wipes" etc have the potential to cause blockages - even those that say "can be flushed".
I agree with what's been said above.

However, I don't remember the sewers being blocked up when it was common practice to use cut up newspapers for toilet paper more years ago than I like to remember.
Newspaper seems to break down quite quickly in water......could this be the reason?
Tissues break down in water,it just takes a little longer than most toilet tissue.

Which reminds me of the notice in the Working Men's Club...
"Please note that the mirror has been stolen from the Ladies' toilet. Therefore can you please use the Sun or the Express."
compost for sure, the least energy in dealing with organic matter is to compost it, as locally as possible. Media URL: http://www.southwest-environmental.co.uk/projects/Compost%20Permit.html
