Is a freezer okay beside a radiator?

We got a small freezer a few months back and the only place we could place it that was out of the way was beside a radiator. I turned the radiator off at the time and haven't turned it back on since as I thought it might cause damage to the radiator.

I'm just wondering would it be okay to have the radiator on or would I be as well just leaving it off. Or would it perhaps be okay if I could get a gap of a few inches between the two?

I would say OK with a small gap. These appliances are well insulated.

unless you can leave a good gap i would not put one near a radiator
or a cooker as it will have to work harder

I could probably work a few inches of a gap. Only an inch or two of the freezer would actually be directly in front of the radiator, at the door part.
