no...because the heat from drinks may make the adhesive unstable and the repair could fail leaving you at risk of scalds...use them for small pots of herbs or to tidy your pen if you don't want to part with them

why does some ALWAYS have to question why?

because i want to, thats why! i dont need to justify it to you.

thanks rowan, i did put it on my shelf..but then just wondered if it could be saved.
As long as you don`t use it, then Superglue will suffice.
If you use the corrct adhesive, it will not fall apart with the heat.

However, even in a dishwasher, the joint crevices can never be properly cleaned for food safety.
DON'T DO IT ! Sooner or later the handle will come apart & dump the (HOT) contents all over you, the furniture or carpet.
If it looks as though it has worked, don't be fooled, it will get you when you are least expecting it ! Answer borne of bitter experience (several times).
