I have grown sunflowers for the first time, quite successfully (?), and now want to use the seeds for the birds. My question is, should I leave the seeds in the flower heads for the birds to serve themselves or, should I remove the seeds myself and put out on the bird table ? P !!!!!!

Up to you. The birds will find them as the autumn comes and they get hungry! You might have to chop the head off the stalk and leave it (or hang it) somewhere for the birds as the stalk will start to 'collapse' with time.
Do sunflowers regrow each year or do they die away? Can you regrow sunflowers from the seeds in them?
You most certainly can grow new plants from the seed Pea Brain, (how apt) otherwise how or where do you think they come from....eggs? No the old plant just dies when finished, so chop it up into little pieces and either put it in the councils green waste bin or compost it. If you wait until the winter the seed will be nice and dry if kept in a shed and then put it out for the birds to peck at away from cats.

Thank you ! For your information carlton23 it wasnt me that asked if you could grow them from the seeds - not too keen on your patronising tone. P

Well flobadob, what did you expect asking a ridiculous question like that? unless you know nothing about `the birds and the bees`.
