I bought some rockwool cubes with the intention of starting off my seeds for planting on into the garden or the allotment.
However I have just spent the last 40 minutes googling and can find no mention of planting on into soil!
Only planting on into larger hydroponic blocks or into hydroponic gardens.
Has anyone used rockwool in an ordinary soil garden?

40 minutes? I simply googled 'planting rockwool soil' and found this as the second link offered. The post from spRee2x (and the one from TCC) seem to suggest that planting on into soil is perfectly feasible:
