Electrical Help - New Cooker needed but what size?

I need to buy a new Electric Cooker. The old one was a single oven non fan basic cooker. The supply appears to be a 30amp, 6mm cable supply. My concern is that most new cookers are double fan assisted jobs of about 9.5/10 kw. Is this to big for existing supply or is there a percentage of diversity that assumes maximum load will not be used?
Thanks
